Conference Rules

Don’t be known as the delegate that got disqualified because they had the brilliant idea of writing five operative clauses in three minutes, of course, with ChatGPT.

Report any violations below

  • All delegates and faculty advisors must conduct themselves in a professional, respectful manner. Delegates should refrain from engaging in disruptive behavior, including but not limited to bullying, verbal or physical harassment, inappropriate language, or any actions that undermine the productive and respectful environment of conference. We expect delegates to uphold the jubilant, yet serious manner of the conference with integrity and respect.

  • To ensure a safe and respectful environment for all participants, personal liberties and sensitive political issues will not be debated during the conference. This policy is in place to prioritize the well-being and development of youth, fostering an inclusive atmosphere that encourages constructive dialogue without exposing participants to divisive political discussions. The above statement applies to policy papers as well.

  • Traditional committees: Delegates are permitted to use technology for drafting working papers and resolutions only during unmoderated caucuses, or during other periods as determined by the Dais. The use of AI tools, including generative AI, for drafting policy papers is strictly prohibited. Delegates must refrain from copying text for draft resolutions, removing content from draft resolutions without the author's consent, or plagiarizing from online sources.

Non-Traditional Committees: Delegates are not permitted to utilize technology in any non-traditional committee. Delegates must conform to the ancient era of paper, pencil, and a binder of notes should they register in a non-traditional committee. Delegates may not pre-write private or public directives.
