Organizational Charter
Model United Nations at Arizona State University (MUNatASU) advances civic education, global awareness, and leadership through diplomacy, debate, and service. Our dual mandate is to host SunMUN for high school students and DevilMUN for collegiate delegates, fostering critical thinking and dialogue across generations. MUNatASU is committed to organizational sustainability by building resilient systems, cultivating leadership pipelines, and preserving institutional memory. We uphold financial stewardship by managing resources transparently and investing strategically. We champion philanthropy by giving back to our members, expanding access to travel conferences and educational opportunities. MUNatASU empowers students to lead with excellence, resilience, and purpose.
Strategic Priorities
In pursuit of these commitments, MUNatASU establishes the following strategic priorities:
Host premier conferences — Sustain and expand the excellence of SunMUN and DevilMUN as flagship educational programs, fulfilling our dual mandate.
Ensure organizational sustainability — Build resilient systems, safeguard archives, and strengthen leadership transitions for long-term vitality.
Uphold financial stewardship — Manage all resources transparently, strategically, and in alignment with future growth plans.
Expand philanthropic initiatives — Establish and oversee “Friends of” MUNatASU, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fundraising, scholarships, and travel support.
Cultivate leadership pipelines — Develop mentorship and training initiatives to prepare future leaders within MUNatASU and beyond.
Launch the MUNatASU Speaker Series — Bring distinguished leaders, diplomats, and public servants to inspire civic education and professional growth.
Optimize the member experience — Build a vibrant community through retreats, socials, and town halls that foster engagement, wellness, and belonging.
Conferences
SunMUN XVI and DevilMUN
The sixteenth iteration of SunMUN is MUNatASU’s premier high school conference. Hosted each fall on the Arizona State University campus, SUNMUN XVI brings together hundreds of students from across the Southwest for a day of rigorous debate, diplomacy, and leadership development.
DevilMUN will launch in Spring 2026 as MUNatASU’s inaugural collegiate Model United Nations conference. Designed for university delegates, DevilMUN will offer an immersive simulation grounded in realism, crisis response, and international diplomacy. This flagship initiative reflects MUNatASU’s growing commitment to civic education and leadership at the collegiate level.
